Aquaculture:

40000 Tra Ban fish were released in Cai Lon river, Long My district, Hau Giang province to balance the ecological system in this river.

Five Vietnamese Tra fish processing companies have Tra fish farming areas qualified the standard of Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

The demand of giant river prawn for farming is big, but its supply of breeds is rare. This makes its price increase considerably from the beginning of the season till now.
Giant seaperch farming model is potential in Nghe An province.

Individuals and companies wanting to farm cold-water fish must register with Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Processing, import and export:

Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan announced that Japan has decided to stop the control of Ethoxyquin in Vietnamese shrimp with frequency test of 30%.

In the third quarter of 2012, Tra fish exportation to the U.S. and china continues to increase.

Livestock:

Profit from dairy production reached 28%.

From now to the end of the year, bird flu can potentially reoccur because in the last nine years, this is the time for its outbreak.

Vietnamese fresh milk is in the top of the area.

Cultivation:

From the beginning of August, the price of artichoke from Da Lat has increased 4 to 5 times. It has reached the highest price since the last ten years.

Farmer Huynh Cong Tin in Hung Loi ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city grows delicious smooth luffas whose heights are about 2 meters. 

Using combine harvesters and tools that sow rice in rows not only increases productivity and quality but also lowers the cost.

In the recent three years, Ca Mau cannot reach the target of growing rice in shrimp farming area. The reason is that the suitable rice for its salinity still cannot be found.
