Aquaculture:
The application of VietGAP standard in agriculture still face hardships like small scale, high investment, but low selling price.
Two giant soft shell turtles were found out in Song Ma town in Son La province. One of those is 85 cm long, 50 cm wide, and weights 45.5 kg. The other is 50 cm long, 40 cm wide, and weights 20 kg.
FDI companies control 95% shrimp feed market.
According to Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, fisheries is still a key of agriculture and will have a breakthrough in the period of 2011-2015.
In 2012, there may be a shift from black tiger shrimp to white leg shrimp.
Processing, import and export:
Exporting seafood faces hardship since raw materials are lacked.
Tra fish price has reached a new peak; companies control their purchasing.
Vietnamese seafood targets Middle East market.
Livestock:
