Aquaculture:
Vietnam attends Asian Pacific Aquaculture 2011.
There are 136 factories producing Tra fish flour in Mekong Delta.
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requires Research Institute for Agriculture No. to distribute 100,000 mature Tra fishes to locals.
Artificial clam was successful bred in Vinh Hau A commune, Hoa Binh district, Bac Lieu province.
Breeding prawn and orca in polluted ponds is suitable in Thua Thien Hue province.
Breeding cá linh during flood season is applied in Lai Vung (Dong Thap province).
Shrimp farming community in Vinh Nam (Duy Xuyen – Quang Nam) shows that selecting breeds, preventing disease, and protecting environment bring high economic efficiency.
Processing, import and export:
Exportation brought $3.1 billion in July, 2011.
In the near future, organization and individual exporting Tra fish must guarantee the supply of raw material to be at least by 50% over designed capacity.
Livestock:
Beef raw material area is being established in Ha Noi.
Farmers with 20% damage in their farming will be compensated when buying insurance.

Pork price increases 70%; chicken price increases 100% compared with the beginning of the year. According to food companies, this raise is unreasonable and exaggerated.

30,000 ton litchi, worth VND300 billion, were exported through Lao Cai international border gate.
Using chemical to trim and keep fruits fresh negatively influences people’s health.
While Dong Nai durian is approved to be imported to the U.S., export companies can not collect enough quantity of this fruit.
