Aquaculture:
On 6/12/2011, more than 400,000 aquatic organisms were released in order to supplement and renew aquatic resources in Nha Trang Gulf (Khanh Hoa province).
Phu Yen Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported 5,200 ton tuna, the highest quantity ever, fished by Phu Yen farmers.
Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development agrees to borrow WB 125 million USD to invest to farm equipment and labor.
Farmers in Phu Yen province invest in lobster because its commercial price is high while the breed’s price is low.
2,500 ha breeding white leg shrimp is planned in Can Gio district (Ho Chi Minh city).
In the last 20 days, Tra fish material price decreased significantly from 29,500 VND/kg to 24,000-26,000 VND/kg.
Processing, import and export:
Seafood materials may be deficient because a large number of shrimps died in Mekong Delta.
Enrofloxacin testing is applied for 100% shrimp importing from Vietnam to Japan, but it will not be strict like trifluralin testing before.
Livestock:
Pig farm will be applied VietGAHP standard in Ho Chi Minh city.
More than 90% farmers in Vinh Son town (Vinh Phuc province) breed snakes in their houses. Usually, one family has at least 200 to 300 snakes.
Some Ho chickens in Ho village (Lac Tho, Ho town, Thuan Thanh, Bac Ninh province) weigh 7 to 8 kg. This type of chicken is often used as a gift.
Cultivation:
CO2 project will be sold in the next three years, but a lot of organizations and foreign companies order this special product in Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province.
Ngoc Tung JSC will support farmers in 13 provinces in Mekong Delta produce rice based on VietGAP standard. The time to implement the project is about 5 years.
Ethanol biofuel factories are being built in Central Vietnam’s provinces. Cassava price is high causing farmers destroy other plants to grow cassava.
Coffee farmers often have more than 35% profit thanks to Public and Private Partnership model.
Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers:
Rice dryer is used due to the unstable weather. It establishes a new step in model agricultural production.
Fruit:
Growing area’s rambutan, which export to American market, is expanded.
Pet, flower and others:
Fishing contest attracted more than 400 participants in Khanh Hoa province.
