Aquaculture:

Vietnamese fishermen face difficulties since Chinese boats continuously violate in the sea - territory of Vietnam.

Farmers breeding black tiger shrimp  are going to phase farming, but diseases haven’t reduced.

A submersible brings VND 2.3 billion from sea cucumber after a trip in Ly Son (Quang Ngai province).

Clam’s breed costs 24 VNDmillion per kg.

Clown knife fish is popular in Hau Giang province.

Processing, import and export:

Fresh seafood JSC in Soc Trang province sets a targer of earning VND 1,000 billion profit from exportation.

Muslim countries are new market of  companies in Vietnam. Companies need Halal certificate for their products.

Japan has strengthened import Vietnamese tuna in both volume and value in the early half April 2011.

Binh Dinh and Phu Yen province: From the beginning of the year, companies in seafood processing industry face difficulties because of the lack of materials.

Livestock:

Vaccine preventing Avian Influenza was stopped using since a new virus was discovered.

Sheep, an animal easily growing, is bred in Ninh Thuan province, where is the most dry and hot place.

Pig Safe Breeding Tien Phong Co-operative (Ho Chi Minh city) imported 117 pig breeding stocks  from Canada and America.

Cultivation:

Sterculia is planted and developed popularly in Phu Yen province. Farmers hope this kind of tree will create a new profits for them.

“Integrated pest management among rice by ecological technology” program was a successful experiment in Mekong Delta. It is predicted to open a new direction in prevention and control pest, diseases in plants.

Intercropping of cocoa and cashews may bring uncontrolled pests.

Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers:

Agricultural insurance is being proposed.

Fruit:

GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) face difficulties, mainly because the output is not found.

Dragon fruit’s price is continuously decreased in Mekong Delta.

Despite the late harvest time, the quantity of litchi fruit this year was 10 thousand ton thanks to favorable weather in Thanh Ha (Hai Duong province). 

On 1st June, the Southern Fruit Festival 2011 was opened in Suoi Tien Culture-Tourism park (Ho Chi Minh city).

Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Tien Giang province: Coconut processing companies still lack material after the coconut export tax was raised from 0% to 3%.

Dong Nai: The area of intercropped cocoa increases rapidly. There is more than 1,000 ha intercropped cocoa bringing high profit in this province.

Living and environment:

Farmers are leaving Ha Noi city to plant vegetable in mountainous regions.

Pet, flower and others:

Though Hong Ven fish (Datnioides microlepis) costs thousand of dollars, it attracts fish-players and fishermen despite its scarceness.
