Aquaculture:
A venture company will be established by enterprises in Phu Yen (Vietnam) and Japanese investors. This cooperation is used for purchasing, processing and export tuna.
Mekong Delta’s shrimp needs long-term solutions to ensure quality and stability breed. VietGAP should be applied early and 3 breed production areas will be built.
Polyculture of tilapia, carp and tench fish brings high efficiency and less precariousness. It is suitable for Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City.
Frog farming brings high profit in Xuyen Moc (Ba Ria – Vung Tau).
People exploiting clam breeds in Ca Mau National Park are a threat to ecological environment of this creature.
Salmon farming brought VND 4.5 billion/ha in Lam Dong province.
After 4 hours, a black carp was caught in Dong Anh district. The fish was 1.3 m long and 56 kg weight. This was the heaviest black carp caught in Ha Noi.
Processing, import and export:
European companies will import a large amount of Tra fish this summer. VASEP is going to increase exported Tra fish’s price at the beginning of the third quarter.
22 Vietnamese companies receive tax reduction of shrimp anti-dumping.
Tuna exportation grows again, from 24.2-61.7%.
Livestock:
Livestock diseases are under control, according to Department of Veterinary, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Mr. Pham Van Thanh began to breed scorpions, chameleons, and lizards in An Xuan (Tam Ky city, Quang Ninh province).
Wild boar farms bring high profit in An Giang.
Cultivation:
Pepper hits the highest price to VND 130,000 /kg. However, pepper trees are died in a large area of Hon Quan (Binh Phuoc province).
Ngoc Linh ginseng tree is planted and developed on Ngoc Linh Mountain (Tu Mo Rong dictrict, Kon Tum province) by Ngoc Linh ginseng Kon Tum JSC.
Rapid manufacturing method fungi Metarhizium anisopliae (Ma) and its products and are used to prevent insects from devastating rice in Long An province.
Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers:
There is a paradox that farmers still face lack of information in technological era.
Fruit:
75% dragon fruit’s yield is dependent on Chinese market. Farmers and companies are unstable because China has stopped buying this fruit suddenly.
Mango, dragon fruit, banana, custard apple, papaya, etc. are exported considerably from the beginning of this year. These fruits’ yield are not enough for the market demand.
Living and environment:
Cat Tien National Park has 2 Wildlife Rescue Center. Wildlife rescue is necessary to maintain and develop biodiversity.
