Aquaculture:
There is no replacement for trifluralin. Farmers continue to use it, which causes difficulties for companies exporting black tiger prawn.
Test results show that the major cause of shrimp death in a large area in Bac Lieu province is microsporidia species.
According to Ca Mau Province Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, raw black tiger shrimp and crab are in the highest price from the last 10 years.
Export value of agriculture, forestry and aquatic products in April reached USD 2.2 billion. It raises total exports into USD 8 billion in the first quarter of 2011.
Having a farm with more than 5,000 crocodiles, Nguyen Quang Hien is praised as The Northern King of Crocodile in Trung Chau commune, Dan Phuong district, Ha Noi.
